The Visible Energy EMS is an Internet-connected energy management system helping homes and small businesses reduce power consumption. It is the heart of a system that includes our smart powerstrips and outlets, real-time usage displays, local and remote control of outlets, electrical panel load monitoring and, when available, connection to electric company smart meters–all working together for better energy savings.
Though hardware-based, our system is software-driven and part of the Visible Energy Network, an open platform capable of supporting a variety of energy management and related applications.
Working with the customer's home broadband network, our system displays energy usage and cost, both real-time and historic, and the status of every device and outlet the system controls. It enables social "energy networks" and can, with the customer's permission, send energy consumption information back to electric companies.
